3 things I found
out
1. Singapore’s
two-child policy was implemented in 1972
2.
The
reason why China’s one-child policy and Singapore’s two-child policy were implemented
is almost the same.
3.
Both
China and Singapore reversed their policies.
2
perceptions I have gained
1.
When
Singapore decided to reverse the policy, it was not very effective as birth
rates still remained low.
2.
Even
though having lesser children can help to control birth rates, it could cause
problems for the future generations such as over-competitiveness and stress because
the parents expect their only child to be successful in life.
1 question
that I have
1.
How
long does it take for the reversed policy to change the mindsets of others?
