Does rich mean being happy? - Sarah
I feel that rich does not mean being happy because even though singapore is a prosperous country, from the happiness index, Singapore is one of the countries that is least happy. I feel that one of the reasons why this is happening is because the people in poorer countries appreciate what they have more . They are more contented with what they have unlike Singaporeans who are not contented even though they have a flat to live in already. The people in other countries will be contented even with a simple toy car or a football. However, Singaporeans want more, such as a iPad or other electronic devices. In Singapore, we put money first above everything else. Thus adults do not have enough time for themselves to take a break and relax because they are spending too much time on making money. i think we have to look from the different perspective to know how fortunate we are to be born in Singapore. Only then can we appreciate what we have and not complain so much. Even if we are rich and have a lot of money, money does not give us the warmth of a family. It cannot replace the sincerity and love a human can provide.
