Reflection on RV60: Shuen Wei

The purpose of the RV60 celebration is to celebrate the school spirt. This is so that we can remember what our alumni have done for our school and remind us to continue the school spirt for many years to come. Some of the issues with this celebration is that it is very energy and time consuming and many students complained due to the loss of time for personal and study use. We had to change our holiday plans so that we can attend rehearsals during the holiday. Furthermore, the lack of teachers for the rehearsals resulted in the poor planing of the rehearsals, causing some group of students to have nothing to do for most of the time. I think the level of school pride the students in this school have is very high. Even though we complain a lot, we still did our best for this performance. Many students complain as it is very energy consuming. This is quite unavoidable. Another reason why we complain is because we students have not had a long history with the school. Thus the bond with the school has not been fully developed yet. In terms of the celebration preparation, I think it should be more well planned. I was part of the choir performance, and we were not needed for a rehearsal. However, due to planning error, we were asked to go to the field earlier and we had to stand in the hot sun in the field doing nothing for 3 hours. I am proud of my school as it has a huge campus with many great facilities. It also has a great history with many great alumni who help us.
